Minutes from December meeting approved as submitted.
Minutes from November meeting approved with one spelling correction.

New 801s (Workman Comp report)
One back injury caused by an employee moving a desk.
One back injury caused by an employee twisting wrong.
Both injuries resulted in time loss.

New Safety Grams
-None

Corky Gillis of La Grande EMT Center will present a training open to the campus community in March. Specifics will be announced later. Irene will follow-up.

OLD BUSINESS

OLD SAFETY GRAMS
-Jeff Witten moved the barrel blocking the safety light on the Hoke loading dock.
-Elevator mechanical room in Loso Hall is cluttered. Bob was not at this meeting to report. Vickie will follow-up.
- 8th Street hill is still an issue - there have been several concerns regarding the lighting and the sidewalk surface. Irene will forward these concerns to the administration.
-Ryan is waiting on more samples of the material for the volleyball court border.
-Non-skid material has been installed on the "pull down" steps at the community stadium.
-Inlow Hall basement ramp is on the list to be revamped.

Student government reviewed the weapons policy and found a couple of areas that need addressed. They would like clarification regarding the acceptable knife blade length. (i.e. is a pocket knife okay?) What about concealed weapon permits? Irene will check with local law enforcement agencies for ideas on these issues.

Helen will compile the results of The Let There Be Light tour and forward the report to the committee prior to February's meeting.
Irene went over the 28 items on the report by the OR-OSHA Occupational Safety Consultant, George Vorhauer, who visited EOU on October 14, 2003, to assess the safety of Eastern's facilities. The appropriate personnel are addressing all items.
Steve and Bill completed inspection of the Facilities and Planning buildings. Ryan completed inspection of Quinn. Sue will inspect Zabel Hall and Helen will inspect Inlow Hall. Jeff Witten will inspect the dorms.

Next meeting scheduled for 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 24.
