Technical Assistance
• ROI provides assistance to governmental and private entities relating to project planning, implementation, management and funding.
• ROI identifies and implements collaborative projects with economic development districts, such as cluster analysis and economic gardening.
• ROI provides leadership for the Eastern Oregon Collaborative Colleges Center and assists the EOCCC in identifying specific workforce development.
• ROI supports technology transfer by developing and maintaining a rural socio-economic database.
• ROI continues their relationship with the Eastern Oregon Telecommunications Consortium (EOTC) and assists in implementation of advanced broadband infrastructure.
• ROI continues to serve as an organizing resource for rural economic development efforts, such as working conferences, classes, etc.

• ROI coordinates and conducts general applied research on rural economic issues.
• ROI coordinates and conduct client requested research such as diversification, value-added processing, technology transfer, and telecommunications.
• ROI monitors legislation and regulatory proceedings that may affect the rural economy and development.

• ROI collaborates with other entities to identify immediate research needs.
