The Rural Oregon Institute at Eastern Oregon University is funded through the Economic Development Administration with the purpose of assisting rural communities in the following three major areas: entrepreneurship, innovation, and industry cluster development. By partnering with universities and numerous community-based organizations, ROI helps increase rural economic diversification and the capacity of rural communities and businesses to take full advantage of economic development opportunities.
