Broad Based Education

Eastern Oregon University (EOU) offers students a broad-based education that prepares them for the variety of experiences and occupations they may expect to pursue over the course of a lifetime.

Our courses of study reflect a complex mixture of educational objectives. In many respects, our programs emphasize the pursuit of originality, the advancement of technical and critical knowledge, and the development of civic and intellectual engagement..

While students, staff and faculty are here due to a unique set of circumstances and goals, we are all here because of the diverse range of opportunities we see available at EOU.  Each of us comes here to learn, to discover, and to connect and share in the ideas that characterize and sculpt life at a small rural campus.  Each of us has a unique contribution to make in influencing the future of Eastern Oregon University.

Every fall the university community is fortunate to have the many new students, faculty and staff, and the energized motivations and ideas they have brought with them.

The energy we receive from our students fuels the creativity, growth, and excellence of the entire campus community.  As we continue to explore the many ways in which EOU expresses and defines its excellence, it is important to note that the dynamic spirit of eastern Oregon and the EOU campus and local community is honored to serve our students!
