Office of the Provost & Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs

Welcome

Since 1929, Eastern Oregon University has served communities throughout eastern and rural Oregon and the larger intermountain West. EOU’s mission today reflects this long history of service:

EOU guides student inquiry through integrated, high-quality liberal arts and professional programs that lead to responsible and reflective action in a diverse and interconnected world.
As an educational, cultural and scholarly center, EOU connects the rural regions of Oregon to a wider world. Our beautiful setting and small size enhance the personal attention our students receive, while partnerships with colleges, universities, agencies and communities add to the educational possibilities of our region and state.

EOU’s core value of providing high-quality personalized education at an affordable price is well-reflected in our institution’s continuing efforts to focus on access, affordability, and engagement with our communities.

As such, the Office of the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs provides leadership, support, and advocacy to the colleges, other academic units, and regional centers at Eastern Oregon University, ensuring quality and innovation in academic programming, faculty scholarship and creative endeavors, institutional planning and effectiveness, and enrollment management, oncampus, online, and onsite.
