This applicant for a Summer Institute Fellowship has demonstrated a genuine interest in improving the learning of our students and will make a valuable contribution to the institute.

Therefore, I hereby support the opportunity for this teacher, upon completion of the summer institute, to provide professional development in his/her building, school, or district. Such professional development should be voluntary, should suit the needs of the teachers involved, and might take the form of leading a book discussion group, presenting a teaching demonstration to staff, or facilitating staff in sharing teaching demonstrations.
