EOU Student Staff
Jordan Cornelius, Major: International Business
I am a senior at EOU and will be graduating with a degree in International Business this winter. I enjoy kayaking, hiking, climbing and other outdoor activities. I have worked at the Outdoor Program for three years, it’s a great opportunity to be involved with students who love the outdoors and want to experience all La Grande and the surrounding area has to offer.
Shaun Coe, Rental and Rock Wall Manager, Major: Pre-Nursing
Hey there, my name is Shaun Coe and I am in my 4th year at Eastern Oregon University. For the past two years I have been an RA to the Eastern dorms and this year I have moved away from EOU residence life to the EOU ODP. Here I hold the positions of rental and rock wall manager. When I first got to Eastern I thought I was a city boy incapable of loving the outdoors as much as I have. I came from Portland and right after I got here I immersed myself in as much outdoor stuff as I could. Four years later here I am, going outside as much as I can just because I can. I’m into rock climbing, rafting, kayaking, hiking, biking, long boarding, XC skiing, snowboarding. Some of my other interest that are less outdoor oriented activities are disk golf, ultimate Frisbee, basketball, rugby, and walking dogs. Anything I can do to get some sun or wind on my face normally makes me happy.
Molly Fransen, Major: International Business
My name is Molly Fransen and I am a Senior International Business major at EOU. I grew up in Issaquah, Washington and have always had a passion for the outdoors. Some of my favorite activates include hiking, skiing, traveling and exploring new places. This is my third year working at the ODP. It’s been a great opportunity to try new outdoor activities and also a great way to meet others with a similar passion.
Trent Manns, Major: Rangeland Ecology & Management
Hey! My name’s Trent. I’m a junior in Rangeland Ecology and Management here at EOU/OSU. My youth was spent in Bend Oregon, but I’ve traveled and lived throughout much of Oregon and Northwest California. I’ve worked professionally as a Wilderness Ranger and as a Wilderness Trail Crew Leader. Any day, ever, you can find me outside up to something. My two favorite elements are earth and water, my favorite color is green, I have a dog named Reef (he’s my right hand man), I love playing music and play everyday, ropes and knots are fascinating, I plan to be a farmer one day, climbing trees is a blast, and I ride my bike or walk my feet as much as I can. Oregon’s got soul!
Nick Piazza, Major: History
I am from John Day Oregon, and have always loved to do work and play outdoors. My favorite outdoor activities are rafting and anything that has to do with water, as well as hiking, backpacking, camping, and climbing.
