New student checklist / action items to complete

   Get online!

Accessing Webster

Webster is EOU’s student portal where you can view and update your personal information, add or drop courses, view your academic records and financial aid, and find your academic advisor. Your user ID is the 9-digit student ID number assigned by EOU and provided to you in your admission letter. Your first PIN is your birthday in the format YYMMDD. Log in at www.eou.edu/it/webster.

Accessing EOU e-mail

When you submit your $50 enrollment deposit,  you’ll receive an EOU e-mail address. Be sure to check it regularly! Your EOU e-mail can be found in Webster. Once you’re logged in to your Webster account and on the main Personal Information tab, click the Personal Information link  in the middle of the page just above Student Services & Financial Aid.  Then click on View E-mail Address(es). Your username is the portion before “@eou.edu.” Your password is your birthday in the following format: YYMMDD. Use these to log in at http://gmail.eou.edu. See www.eou.edu/it/eou-student-e-mail for more information and frequently asked questions.

Accessing Blackboard

Your Blackboard username is the first part of your EOU e-mail address (everything before “@eou.edu”) and your password is your birthday in the following format: YYMMDD. After registering for a class at EOU, you should be able to access Blackboard the following business day. Log in at http://blackboard.eou.edu. Please be aware that not all instructors use Blackboard and your course(s) may not be visible to you until the first day of class. For more Blackboard student essentials, including tutorials, visit http://www.eou.edu/bb.

Submit your enrollment deposit (starting with fall term 2013 applicants)

This deposit confirms you will begin at EOU for the term admitted and it will be credited toward your tuition and fees. It is a down payment to hold your place among newly admitted students and signals action by other enrollment related offices to assist you.

Contact Advising to register for classes!

As an admitted student, you are assigned a personal academic adviser who will work with you to create a college plan and get registered for the classes you need to complete your degree. Your adviser will also answer questions and explain whether or not you will need to take Accuplacer. E-mail advising@eou.edu or call 800-544-2195.

Participation in our Degree Planning Workshop is required for online students only and may be completed online or at a live location near you. Cost is $50. Contact  your adviser or Dee Toland at dtoland@eou.edu for registration information.
