Sharing the Learning Program

Eastern is a place where faculty and students share in learning, in creating, and in discovering. This close involvement of undergraduates and faculty in research and creative activity has long been a part of the Eastern educational experience for many. Beginning with the 1998-99 academic year, we undertook  three initiatives to support and to expand what we believe to be one of the most important means by which Eastern provides a truly higher education. These initiatives are:

  1. FACULTY/STUDENT COLLABORATIVE PROJECTS FUND (Faculty-Initiated Proposals)
  2. UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH AND CREATIVE ACTIVITY PROGRAM (Student-Initiated Proposals)
  3. SYMPOSIUM CELEBRATING UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH AND CREATIVE ACTIVITY
