Editor
The editor must be a full-time student of Eastern Oregon University. The applicant must be an upper division student in good standing with the university and have completed a minimum of twelve credit hours of creative writing (fiction, poetry, and non-fiction).
The responsibilities of the editor include but are not limited to the following:
| 1. | Distribution and promotion of Oregon East in Fall quarter |
| 2. | Creating and submitting a budget to the Student Fees Committee |
| 3. | Calling for submissions of writing and art work through campus media |
| 4. | Read manuscripts and make decisions on accepting and rejecting work |
| 5. | Maintain regular office hours |
| 6. | Establishing deadlines for submissions of copy |
| 7. | Layout and design of the magazine |
| 8. | Proofreading |
| 9. | Maintaining a working relationship with the advisor of the magazine |
| 10. | Orientating the new editor |
