Girls in Science

Girls in Science 2013 final proof-1

Girls in Science – Zombie Apocalypse

This year’s Girls in Science camp was hosted on the campus of Eastern Oregon University on Saturday, October 19th. With a capacity of 100 girls, the camp was easily filled again this year with students from all over the NEOAHEC region.
Professors and college students from Biology, Chemistry, Math and Computer Science and Psychology designed and conducted experiments with the girls in science to determine if their specimen, Dr. Potshard was indeed a Zombie.
While Zombies from the EOU Theater department roamed the halls of the Badgley building, the girls were able to conclude this was not the start of the Zombie Apocalypse and Dr. Potshard’s symptoms were not those of a Zombie.
Thank you to Eastern Oregon University, Richland Chapter of the American Chemical Society, Soroptimist International of La Grande, Oregon Agriculture Foundation, all those who served on the planning committee and others who helped to make the day a great success!
