Spring EMT Continuing Education

This is an EMT Continuing Education series consisting of three broadcasts. The cost of the series is $105.00. Deadline for the series registration is February 1, 2003. Registration for an individual broadcast is $40.00. Registration deadlines vary for each broadcast.

Cancellations made before each class registration deadline will be given a full refund. After the registration deadline you will be subject to a $10.00 administrative fee.

Brain Trauma Instructor Development Course

Northeast Oregon AHEC is sponsoring a program created by the Brain Trauma Foundation to promote the optimal management of patients with traumatic brain injuries in the pre-hospital environment. This course is aimed at all levels of pre-hospital providers. It includes an eight hour instructor course and a four hour provider course.

Who should attend: EMTs, Nurses, and Doctors
Credits Available: EMTs-certificate of attendance, Nurses-seven contact hours from AACN, Doctors-seven CMEs.
Date and Time: March 17, 2003, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (PT)
Location: Eastern Oregon University, Hoke Hall Room 309, La Grande OR
Registration: Pre-registration is required because lunch, refreshments and instructor kits will be provided. Registration deadline is March 1, 2003.
Instructor: Lawrence G Mester, EMT-P has been involved in urban and rural Emergency Services and EMS/law enforcement education since 1984; "Lars" has over ten years experience as a critical care flight paramedic. He has participated in such special operations as flight medic during the Salt Lake Paralympic Games and the Hell's Angels National Run in Colorado.

There is no cost to attending this course. Funding is provided by the Brain Trauma Foundation.
