Katherine Fetz
BM in Music Education, Unverisity of Illinios at Urbana-Champaign
Katherine Fetz is currently an adjunct music instructor at Eastern Oregon University, where she teaches woodwind and general music methods courses, and woodwind lessons. She also teaches kindergarten music at Central and Willow Elementary schools in La Grande.
Before coming to La Grande last year, Fetz taught
general music in grades 1-3 at Woodland Elementary
School in Gurnee, IL, a northern suburb of Chicago.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music
Education from the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign. While at the University of Illinois,
she was a member of the Marching Illini, Clarinet
Choir, and the prestigious Wind Symphony. She studied
clarinet with J. David Harris, and was a recipient of
the Thomas J. Smith Scholarship, a full-tuition
scholarship based on academics and performance.
Katherine is currently pursuing a Master of Science in
Education degree from Eastern Oregon University.
