
Jamie Jacobson, Mezzo-Soprano BS in Music from Eastern Oregon University (Adjunct Instructor, 2003)
Jamie Jacobson specializes in teaching vocal performance and technique in many different styles both in class format and through private voice instruction for Eastern Oregon University. She has performed throughout the Northwest as a featured soloist as well as in several stage roles. Most recently, she has been the Vocal Director for several musical theatre productions including, Little Women (Spring 2010), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Summer 2010), Phantom of the Opera (Fall 2010), and the Music Director for Stephen Sondheim's Assassins (Spring 2011).
Jamie has studied voice with Dr. Peter Wordelman and Dr. Laura Rushing-Raynes along with many others in master class settings. She is an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and has adjudicated NATS competitions in Oregon. Jamie has operated her own private vocal studio for the past 11 years in addition to her work at EOU and is currently the owner and teacher for La Grande's Kindermusik program for children ages newborn through 8 and their families.
Jamie's students have placed in state-wide and national vocal competitions, opened private studios, auditioned for opera companies in the northwest, and many have gone on to receive their master's degrees and become certified music educators.
