Along with his teaching responsibilities Mr. Frasier is the Musical Director for the Union County Children's Choir and is active throughout the northwest as a clinician, adjudicator, presenter and consultant. He spent thirty years a music teacher for the La Grande School District, where his choral program was recognized as being among the best in Oregon. Under his direction the La Grande High School A Cappella Choir received many awards, including 1st place in the 3A division at the 2001, 2002, and 2003 OSAA State Choir Championships. His Jazz Choir received first place awards at many regional Vocal Jazz Festivals, including the 1983 Reno Jazz Festival. Choirs under his direction have performed concert tours to the British Isles and Central Europe as well as New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Vancouver, B.C. His directing credits include over thirty musical theatre productions at the high school, college and community theatre levels. As a performer he has appeared on stage in over twenty musicals, operas and operettas including Secret Garden, Music Man, Sweeney Todd, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Bartered Bride, The Old Maid and the Thief, and HMS Pinafore.

Michael is currently President of the Northwestern Division of the American Choral Directors Association and was a recent presenter at both the 2004 ACDA Northwestern Conference and the 2004 Oregon Music Educator's Conference Convention.
