PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Dr. Wenger (Ph.D. Washington State University) taught ESL, English, and French at both the K-12 and community college levels for nine years before joining EOU in 1998, where she is currently an Associate Professor in Elementary Education and ESOL. Her ethnographic research interests include examination of second language literacy development and teacher preparation for linguistic and cultural diversity in public schools. Dr. Wenger has published research in The Reading Teacher, TESOL Journal, Teacher Education Quarterly, The Journal of Classroom Interaction, and The Journal of Research in Rural Education, and Hispania, among others.
