PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Dr. McNerney (Ph.D. Georgetown University) worked for three years as an ESOL and Bilingual teacher in K-12 classrooms, and for ten years as an ESOL instructor at the community college level. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of Education & Business, and the Coordinator of the ESOL and Bilingual Education Program. Her research interests include the Hispanic drop out rate and the effect of the No Child Left Behind Act on minorities and ESOL students. Dr. McNerney has been invited to AERA, ORTESOL, and EOU to discuss her research in these areas.
