PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Dr. Evans (Ed.D. Washington State University) taught for 15 years in an elementary school classroom, and now has 11 years experience working in higher education. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Education, and the chair of the International Reading Association’s Children’s Book Award Committee. Dr. Evans’ research interests in children’s literature and authors, teachers’ spiritual formation, and the spirituality of children’s literature. He has published in journals such as the National Laboratory School Journal, Dragon Lode, and Science and Children.
