Configuring your Voicemail

To configure your voicemail:

  1. Dial *99 from your handset to enter the menu.
  2. Enter the default password 0000 when prompted.
  3. After successfully entering the password, select 0 for mailbox options.
  4. Follow the voice-guided prompts to configure your settings. All users will generally want to record both their name and an unavailable message.


Changing your Voicemail password

To change your voicemail password:

  1. Dial *99 from your handset to enter the menu.
  2. Dial 0 for Mailbox Options
  3. Dial 5 to change your password and follow the prompts.

Accessing your Voicemail

To access your voicemail:

  1. Dial *99 on your phone.
  2. After successfully entering your password, dial 1 to listen to your messages.

You can also access your voicemail remotely by calling into your extension from a cell phone or home phone and pressing * when your voicemail message beings to play.


Voicemail to Email

You can have your voicemail delivered directly to your EOU email account. The voicemail is delivered as an audio file (.wav) you play from your computer. This voicemail to email setting is configured by the EOU IT Help Desk. (helpdesk@eou.edu)


How do I check my voicemail remotely?

To access your voicemail from outside of your system from a cell or home phone:

  1. Dial in to your office extension.
  2. When you hear the voicemail prompt begin, dial the * key.
  3. Enter your password.


How do I transfer calls directly to voicemail?

  1. While caller is on the line, press “Transfer”.
  2. Dial “0″ and then 5 digit number.
  3. Press “Transfer” once again to complete the call transfer and caller will be sent directly to voicemail.
