Information Technology Advising Team
The Information Technology Advisory Team (ITAT) will be focused on providing direction for the development of EOU’s continuing IT function. The committee will make recommendations to senior leadership about the development of the strategic plan for the IT function and will monitor this plan as it moves forward. The committee will help senior leadership by recommending changes to the strategic plan as requirements change over time and will coordinate efforts with the EOU Technology Grant Committee and other IT related groups on campus to ensure the best use of resources.
The ITAT is an advisory committee and will report directly to the President’s senior leadership team and will coordinate with the President’s Cabinet. The reports from the ITAT will then be disseminated as required to other shared governance groups. The make up of the Committee would be as follows:
- Lon Whitaker - Finance & Administration
- Steve Adkison - Academic Affairs
- Brian Sather - College of Education
- Steve Clements - College of Business
- Karen Clay - Library
- Beth Upshaw - College of Education/Business
- Richard Croft - College of Arts & Sciences
- Stephen Jenkins - Housing & Residence Life
- Bryan Pearson – Information Technology
- Tim Wilson – Enterprise Information Services
Recommendations from each of the listed areas for membership will be made to the President by the directors or Deans of each area who will select committee members to serve. This will be an advisory/steering committee with a term of service of 2 years.
This committee would meet both periodically and as needed to review changes to the
strategic plan, monitor and report on the continuing IT function, review impact of
proposed changes to resources and report with recommendations to the President’s
Executive Staff. The committee would be integral to the support and development of
the IT function at EOU as the institution moves through the challenges brought by ever
changing funding issues and the overall changes to the higher education environment.
