EOU E-Mail

EOU Information Technology provides e-mail to Staff, Faculty & Students through Google Apps. This e-mail platform provides users the ability for basic e-mail, instant messaging, calendering solutions, sharing documents, spreadsheets and presentations, syncing up your moblie device and the ability to create a website. IT Help Desk & Technology Tickets

The EOU Information Technology Help Desk by phone (541-962-3111) 9-12pm and 1-4pm, Monday through Friday. If you need service on your phone or computer, submit a electronic Technology Ticket at http://support.eou.edu/ticketing/. Sending an e-mail to heldesk@eou.edu will also automatically create a Technology Ticket. No attachments can be sent directly to helpdesk@eou.edu so please save them and notify your technician when the ticket is assigned.

Passwords

Do not give out your information to anyone else as you could be liable for their actions. We strongly recommend that you change your password as soon as possible. You can change your password by visiting http://support.eou.edu/password. Please keep your password safe. If you forget your password, please call the IT Help Desk.

Wireless Internet Access

EOU currently provides limited WiFi Internet access on campus. If you have a computer or device with WiFi capabilities, you can use the campus WiFi. Note that the campus WiFi is not encrypted, and that some services are blocked. The campus WiFi network is called EOU. If you’re unable to access the wireless network, please submit a Technology Ticket.

Telephone / Voice Mail Tips

You will find information on using the EOU phone and voice mail systems on our IT website under the telephone tab at: https://support.eou.edu/kb/5/. The default Audix / Voice Mail password is 2580. Long Distance Authorization codes should be picked up at Inlow Hall 119.

Backing Up Your Files

We strongly recommend that you save copies of your files by doing a regular back-up either by saving your files to a flash / USB drive or burning them onto a CD. If you need help with this, please submit a Technology Ticket.

Electronic Mailing Lists

Important campus information is sent to all staff and faculty via e-mail through the eou-infoline mailing list. If you are not receiving these announcements, please contact Human Resources at 962-3548. A general bulletin board list called east-talk (used for opinions, for sale items, rides needed, ect.) is open to subscribe to subscribe to by submitting a Technology Ticket..

Banner

The Banner Permission Form to access the Student Information System (SIS) and the Financial Information System (FIS) is located at: http://www.eou.edu/infosys/inb/eou_inb.html. The form requires your signature, your trainer in your department and the heads of your departments. Please inter-office this form to Beth Eaton in Inlow Hall 214. A login and password will be created for you. If you need statistics, other formats or data, please submit a Technology Ticket and include a brief explanation of what you need along with your Dean or Director’s approval. You will be contacted for more details and to give you a time estimate.

Webster

Faculty and advisers have web access to their class /student data through Webster located at: http://webster.eou.edu. Your User ID is EOU assigned ID number (910******) and the PIN is your birth date as year, month and date (YYMMDD).

Media Services

Media Services is comprised of Video and Audio / Visual services and is located in Inlow Hall 008. Please visit: http://www.eou.edu/it/media/ for more information about their services and their pricing.

Computer Labs

We have Windows XP with Office 2007 installed in the general use labs for our students. Students do not have access to install any software on the computers in the general use labs. IT has three labs available to use for teaching classes, please submit a Technology Ticket if you need to reserve space. When deciding on textbooks with computer software included, please advise your students this software should be installed on their personal computers and laptops.
