To avoid any loss of data on your computer, it is wise to perform what is called a “manual backup” once a week on your computer. This simply means copying your documents to an external hard drive or burning it onto a CD or DVD.

EOU Information Technology recommends that you perform a weekly manual backup of your data, even if you have had a automatic backup program installed like “Cobian”. More often than not, we have found the automatic backups fail and can leave the user un-protected.
