Equipment
The equipment located in Huber Auditorium is as follows:
- Panasonic D6000 XGA projector
- Dell 620 computer (IT equipment not AV)
- Magnavox DVD/VHS combo player
- Gyro wireless keyboard and mouse
- 25 foot VGA cable for laptop connection
- Elmo brand overhead projector (ENX5 Bulb)
- 18 foot screen (mounted front of the room)
- Elmo brand Visual Presenter
- Shure SCM262 stereo mixer (in desk cabinet for DVD/VHS, PC and Latop)
- Kramer video switch (PC, Laptop, Elmo)
- 2 Carvin Wireless handheld mics (in desk cabinet)
- TOA 900 series II audio mixer (side cabinet for wireless mics)
- FBX 1020 Feedback Exterminator
- 1 QSC CX254 Amplifier
- 1 QSC CX302 Amplifer
- 2 JBL speakers (ceiling mounted)
- 4 Kipesh speakers (wall mounted)
- BarIX Instreamer 100 Network Audio Encoder
Key access to AV cabinet
- To access this cabinet users will need a B key which can only be checked out from the AV department, not plant. Upon leaving EOU anybody who has a key checked out to them must return the key or face a $15 charge per key checked out.
Cheat Sheet for Huber Auditorium system
- To turn on Projector hit top left power button on the Samsung brand remote
- To lower and raise screen press the white button located left to wall cabinet
To view a VHS Tape
- Insert tape into the VHS side of the VHS/DVD combo unit
- Select VCR on the VHS/DVD remote (depending on the tape inserted it may automatically switch to VCR)
- Press the Video button on the Panasonic remote
- To turn sound on flick red switch right of wall cabinet “Sound Power”
- To adjust sound use stereo mixer in desk cabinet, use “DVD/VCR” knob as well as “master” knob
- Use Magnavox remote to control (remember to point at cabinet not projector)
To view a DVD disc
- Insert disc into the DVD side of the VHS/DVD combo unit
- Select DVD on the VHS/DVD remote (depending on the tape inserted it may automatically switch to DVD)
- Press the Video button on the Panasonic remote
- To turn sound on flick red switch right of wall cabinet “Sound Power”
- To adjust sound use stereo mixer in desk cabinet, use “DVD/VCR” knob as well as “master” knob
- Use Magnavox remote to control (remember to point at cabinet not projector)
To view computer display
- Turn on the computer, if on strike any key to exit sleep mode
- Press the RGB1 button on Panasonic projector remote
- Press “1″ on the Kramer switch to connect computer to projector (located in the desk cabinet)
- To turn sound on flick red switch right of wall cabinet “Sound power” (only if needed)
- To adjust sound use stereo mixer in desk cabinet, use “PC” knob as well as “master” knob
- The MPC monitor located on the desk, mirrors what is on the projection screen
To view a notebook device
- Attach RGB cable that is laying on the desk (attach sound cord if needed)
- Press RGB1 button on Panasonic projector remote
- Press “2″ on Kramer switch to connect Laptop to projector (located in desk cabinet)
- To turn sound on flick red switch right of wall cabinet “sound power” (only if needed)
- To adjust sound use stereo mixer in cabinet desk, use “Laptop” knob as well as “master” knob
- The MPC monitor located on the desk, mirrors what is on the projection screen
- Laptop user should be familiar with own display functions for each notebook
To use the Elmo
- Unfold Elmo lamps
- Unfold Elmo camera
- Turn power on (located top right corner, gray switch)
- Press RGB1 button on Panasonic projector remote
- Press “3″ on Kramer switch to connect Elmo to projector (located in desk cabinet)
- The MPC monitor located on the desk, mirrors what is on the projection screen
To use wireless microphones
- Flick the red switch right of the wall cabinet “sound power”
- Turn on microphone but flicking the switch at the base of the microphone
- Adjust volume by using the TOA switch located in side cabinet, depending on which microphone users will adjust either “Input1 or “Input2″ plus the “Mic Volume” knobs.
- There is a speaker volume knob below the “Sound Power” switch, please do not touch.
To use the network audio streamer (webcasts)
- Follow the instructions for the wireless microphones
- Take the gray network cable in side cabinet and plug it into jack 103-1 (located behind main desk)
- To test use PC to go to http://webcast.eou.edu/ (projector does not need to be on, use MPC monitor on the desk)
- On that webpage there should be a link to “Huber Auditorium” click on that and follow the prompts
- Talk into the microphone, there should be a 60 second delay, once you hear your voice via internet “X out” of the player and browser (or else you will hear yourself on delay the whole time)
- Once finished turn of “Sound Power”, unplug network cable and turn off microphones
How to use the lighting
- Find a box that says “Lighting Controls”
- Only zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 have functions, the rest don’t control anything
- Zone 1 is for “Track lights” located right above projector screen (rather pointless and for the most part or completely off
- Zone 2 is for the general areas can lights, always leave these on
- Zone 3 is for the cove area lights, these lights are the brightest and it is recommended you have these off during videos
- Zone 4 is for the spotlights above desk, leave these on
- Zone 6 is for the aisles, leave these on
