Avaya 1616 VoIP Phone Tips
Checking Audix
- Press the Message button
- Enter your extension
- Enter your password
Searching the Campus Directory
- Press the Directory button
- Enter your search using the number pad
- Use the Directory Next button to view more results
- Use the Call Display button to dial the displayed number
Send Call Automatically to Audix
- Press the Send Calls button to send all incoming calls to audix
- Press the Send Calls button again to start receiving calls again
Adjust the Ringer Volume
- Press the volume + or – button. When the volume is at its lowest setting there will be no ring, but the red light in the top right corner will flash.
Adjust the Screen Brightness
- Press the menu button
- Press select for “Screen/Sounds…”
- Press select for “Brightness…”
- Use the left and right buttons to adjust the brightness
Toggle Visual Alerting (blinking light when someone is calling)
- Press menu
- Press the down arrow until you see “Call Settings…”
- Press Select
- Press the down arrow until you see Visual Alerting
- Use the left and right arrows to toggle visual alerting
Toggle Button Clicks (the noise you hear when pressing buttons)
- Press menu
- Press select for “Screen/Sounds…”
- Press the down arrow until you see Button Clicks
- Use the left and right arrows to toggle Button Clicks
Transfer a Call
- Press Transfer
- Dial the phone number
- Press Transfer
Start a Conference Call
- While active on a call, press the Conference button.
- Dial the telephone number.
- Press the Conference button
NOTE: If you would like to program the buttons on your phone, please submit a technology ticket (https://support.eou.edu/ticketing/submit/it/) with the location of the button (1-16 on the regular 1616 phones and 1-16 & 1-32 if you have a module attached), and the phone number you want to add.
