What You Miss About Home:   My family, food, friends, and pet monkey!

What Doctor loves about EOU:   Moderate tuition, a beautiful campus, opportunities for students to be involved and learn more, the great professors, and the hospitality of everyone on campus, and the La Grande community at large.

 

Name :   Isamu Matsumoto

Country :   Japan

Major:   Computer Science - Multimedia Concentration

What has made EOU a positive experience :  Small classes and one-on-one help provided by professors.

What we don't know about Isamu:   I was at Portland Community College for two years and transfered to EOU last spring.  I love playing any kind of sports, but my favorite sport has to be tennis.

 Campus Activities:   ISA, Black Student Union.  I like the fact that we have a lot of campus activites like movie nights with free pizza!

What Shogo loves about EOU:  The professors here know their students individually compared to larger universities where professors don't know their students' names.  Also, I like living among the wildlife.  It's cool how deers come right on campus.  There are a lot of squirrels, which are rare in Japan.  Our basketball teams are the best!

What I miss most about home: Being able to find outfits that fit me easily.  It's hard to find my size in America.  I also miss Japanesse food.

Campus Activities:  ISA, Student Government, Math Tutoring, Intramural Volleyball, Academic Standard Committee, Senate Allocation Committee, and a lot more.

Interesting Personal Fact:  I am Trilingual, I do math for fun and I like stuffed Piggies!
