Monday, November 13

4:30pm-6:00pm Photo Exhibition Reception with music by “Satchel Biggins & the Twofur Quartet”

Student photography with the theme of international education will be on display in the Hoke Student Gallery.  Welcome Address by President Fatemi.  The exhibition will be open throughout the week.

7:30pm Oxfam Hunger Banquet

Noon-1:00pm African Hand Drumming Ensemble Performance

4:00pm “Women in Iran” by Theresa Gillis, Librarian

In 1979 Iran overthrew its shah and embarked on the tumultuous creation of an Islamic society. Today, it is a society in the midst of transformation, particularly with regard to women, whose voices are becoming increasingly powerful.

2004 film about Iraqi refugee children near the Iraqi-Turkish border; hosted by the Multi-Cultural Student Council.
