EOU Chamber Choir Performance

12-1pm, Loso Hall Main Lobby
The EOU Chamber Choir will treat the campus and community to an informal performance highlighting some pieces from around the world.  Feel free to bring your lunch.

Modern Languages and Global Cultures Major Info Session
3-3:30pm, Huber Auditorium, Badgely Hall
Information on this new major will be available to all interested students.  Learn about this exciting opportunity for language and culture study at EOU.

 

Tuesday, November 13

EOU African Drumming Ensemble Performance
12-1pm Loso Hall, Main Lobby
Energize your day with a musical performance by the EOU African Drumming Ensemble!  Bring your lunch and get away from your everyday routine.

Introduction to T'ai-chi
4-5pm, 201/202 Hoke

Professor Matt Wells will provide an introduction to the origin to this martial art and instruction on basic movements. Wear comfortable clothes!

Wednesday, November 14

Study Abroad Fair
11-2pm Loso Hall, Main Lobby
EOU offers opportunities to study on 6 different continents in subjects ranging from business to biology to language and cultures.  Programs range from a few weeks to an academic year.  EOU credit is available and students may be able to use financial aid.

Meet representatives from 7 different study abroad program providers and learn more details about how to start planning the adventure of a lifetime!

Introduction to Hatha Yoga
4-5pm, 201/202 Hoke

A local yoga instructor will lead a class featuring beginning Hatha Yoga movements and also explain the origins of this popular exercise. Wear comfortable clothes!

Thursday, November 15

Tea Potluck - with introduction by Dean Marilyn Levine; music provided by the EOU Jazz Combo
12-1pm Loso Hall, Main Lobby

Tea is found in many cultures and societies; come learn more about the role tea plays around the world.  Dean Marilyn Levine will lead an informal discussion at the beginning of the hour.  Later, the EOU Jazz Combo will provided a relaxing backdrop for tea tasting and conversation.

If you have a favorite tea, please bring some to share.  Hot water and snacks will be provided.

International Film Night -" Shaolin Soccer"
7pm Huber Auditorium, Badgely Hall

Kick some grass!  Professor Zachary Walter will host this action and comedy movie from Hong Kong about a an ex-soccer player who meets a shaolin kung fu student, and trains him and his brothers to enter a prestigious tournament.
