Computer Science/Multimedia Studies

Position Description:  Eastern Oregon University invites applications for a position in an innovative Computer Science/Multimedia Studies Program.  We seek an energetic, positive professional dedicated to teamwork and high-quality undergraduate instruction.  The selected candidate will teach undergraduate computer science courses including theory of programming languages, compiler construction, database and robotics. Additional responsibilities may include advising students, curriculum development, and supervising student research.

This position is a full-time, fixed-term, nine-month faculty appointment; contingent upon funding; possibility of renewal.  Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.  Appointment begins September 16, 2007.

Qualifications:   A terminal degree in computer science, or closely related field, is preferred.  Individuals with a degree in computer science, some graduate study, and professional experience in business and industry may be considered.
