Kermit Wooden, on campus February 6, 2012
Kermit has 12 plus years of experience in several industries from Engineering/Scientific Consulting firms to serving as Director of Human Resources for Washington State (Engineering, Environmental and Transportation).
In addition he has served on several boards such as Goodwill Industries and the Advisory Board for Economic Development for the City of Wilmington, Delaware. Further outreach includes being elected 2 terms as president of the largest 501 (c) 3 non-profit agency in Delaware serving in providing low to moderate income housing grants and economic development to small businesses. As a result of his efforts he was the recipient of the City of Wilmington, Achievers Award (awarded by former Senator Biden and the City of Wilmington, Delaware).
His previous positions have allowed him to manage multiple work sites in multiple states and managing up to 33 field offices for 14,000 + employee engineering, manufacturing, scientific & environmental consulting firm. He has been a guest speaker at several private/public sector conferences on Leadership Development and Managing Performance in a Unionized/Nonunionized Environment and awarded the Who’s Who in Leadership in the United States, The Cambridge Leadership Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010 and the NASPE 2010 for most innovative program nationally.

Michael Lambrecht, on campus February 7, 2012
Michael was employed as the Director of Human Resources at the College of Western Idaho located in Nampa, ID. He managed the college-wide human resources functions and programs for over 500 college faculty and staff. He Supervised and coordinated all employee and management training programs. He administered all college compensation and benefits programs and also performance evaluation and management training activities. Michael served as the college ADA, HIPPA privacy officer, and conducted employee harassment investigations. He also coordinated all employee leave of absence programs and assisted with college wide recruitment and retention programs.
Previous to working for the College of Western Idaho, Michael was the Director of Compensation, Benefits and Employee Relations at Rock Valley Community College in Rockford, Illinois for over 4 years. His experience there included managing compensation, benefits, and employee relations for over 700 employees with two collective bargaining agreements, and 4 different employee groups.
In the human resource area he has done numerous presentations on topics such as: sexual harassment, employee assistance issues, open enrollment benefits, new employee orientation, employee benefits, compensation issues, and management skill development.

Janet Baxter on campus February 8, 2012
Janet has over 20 years of experience in human resource management, including training and development. She has worked for governmental, educational, profit and nonprofit organizations. Janet’s last position was at the College of Western Idaho, a startup community college in Nampa, ID, as an Employee Service Director. She was responsible for the design, development, implementation and management and administration of the human resource department. She developed, implemented and administered HR programs including training and development, recruitment, compliance, classification, employee relations, compensation, background checks and performance management.
Previous to working for the College of Western Idaho, Janet was the Human Resource Advisor for the City of Boise. In this position she was responsible for the management and administration of various personnel and human resource programs for the City. Provide advice and guidance to the City managers and employees to identify, evaluate and resolve human relations issues, to facilitate communication, and improve human relations skills. She was the EEO/AAP Officer and responsible for the Affirmative Action plan. Janet also investigated and resolved employee complaints, interpreted and provided written documentation regarding Civil Service rules and Commission rulings.
