§ Medicaid Administration

· Nancy distributed sample Med Admin time study forms and asked everyone to fill out the form headings using the information shown on the form samples. A sample form is posted on the HNRS web site at: http://www.eou.edu/hnrs/forms/Med_Admin_Sample.pdf

· There was a discussion of possible ways to maximize Med Admin claims. Nancy gave everyone a list of claimable services and discussed how they would apply to the services we provide. She suggested that each of us plan our activities for the Med Admin study days to maximize the number of claimable services provided. · The next Med Admin study day is February 28, 2003.

§ QA Audits

· Vicki and Nancy have developed a new QA Audit form. The form was reviewed and revisions were suggested. Nancy will make changes to the form and mail it to all practitioners.

· Each practitioner will audit 10 charts (including some charts from each school they serve) between now and the next HNRS meeting February 12^th.

§ Health Fairs

· There was a discussion about when Health Fairs would be held and who would participate. It was decided that the Cholesterol and Diabetes screenings would be held separately from the Health Fairs. Vicki will plan the screenings with the participation of Michelle and Selina. Selina and Michelle will work with the administrators at their schools to plan a time and location for the Fairs.

§ Community Advisory Committees and HNRS Outcomes

· Nancy, Selina, Michelle, Diane, Kathy and Melissa continued with the meeting to discuss the Community Advisory Committees and HNRS outcomes.

Announcements and Open Discussion

§ Robert Wood Johnson Grant

· Nancy announced that we have received a Robert Wood Johnson grant. An outreach worker will be recruited and hired in March.

§ Student Nurses in Schools

· There was general discussion about the responsibilities and practices of student nurses in the schools. Nancy mentioned that there used to be a manual for and about student nurses in the schools. She asked the nurses to look for the manual. If it can’t be found, then we’ll need to develop another.

§ Future HNRS Meeting Dates

· February 12, 2003 at 8:00 a.m. at the School of Nursing

· March 17, 2003 at 8:00 a.m. at the School of Nursing
