• The U.S. Department of State actively recruits college graduates with a knowledge of and interest in world history and culture for the United States Foreign Service. The EOU History Department recommends students interested in the diplomatic corps study at least one foreign language, spend at least one term abroad, and consider a minor in economics.

• USAID is the "principal U.S. agency to extend assistance to countries recovering from disaster, trying to escape poverty, and engaging in democratic reforms." Please explore the USAID homepage for details on career opportunities.
