True
Leadership & Responsibility.
"Former military officers are a hot commodity among American businesses
who see the military as a good training ground, producing employees with
problem-solving and leadership skills" Wall Street Journal, 1 Sep
1999. 75% of upper management in Fortune 500 companies are former military
officers. By becoming an officer, you will be able to put the following
on your resume: "Understands True Leadership and Responsibility."
On behalf of The Adjutant General of the State of Oregon and Colonel Tanguy, I welcome you
to the 354th GOLD ROTC Program. We have recently converted over to using the ROTC cirriculum, which gives our student / cadets access to additional resources and options. We are looking forward to a challenging and
rewarding period that will enhance your training
while preparing you for your role as the future leadership of the Army.
This program is designed to prepare you for leadership roles as a Second Lieutenant. It will provide
much of the information critical to understanding the resources and individual
efforts required for you to successfully complete the ROTC program.
Throughout the conduct of ROTC, the two primary issues are safety and mission
accomplishment. Training safely will be your first priority. Mission accomplishment
during the final training and evaluation program will only be accomplished
through TEAMWORK.
Again, allow me to welcome you. I am looking forward to meeting and working
with you. If you have any questions or concerns about the requirements
regarding the training program or options open to you, please contact me.
