The College of Education at Eastern Oregon University has identified some students who may be eligible for the Federal Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program. Those students will be receiving notification by either email*, letter, or both.

 

It is very important that you read and understand the conditions of the TEACH Grant at their website listed above. It is a unique grant which you may have to pay back if you do not meet its specific conditions. If, after reading all of the information on the website, you are interested in applying for the TEACH Grant, here are the steps to follow.

 

1) Contact our office at 541-962-3550 or email fao@eou.edu and let us know that you would like the TEACH Grant to be offered as part of your financial aid package.

2) You accept the TEACH grant on the financial aid section of your Webster account http://www.ous.edu/webster/ 

3) Next, you will complete an Entrance Interview at this website:

https://teach-ats.ed.gov/ats/index.action

4) Our office will receive the results of your Entrance Interview, and we will send an email* to you with information about how you can complete your Agreement To Serve (ATS) at the US Department of Education website: https://teach-ats.ed.gov/ats/index.action  

5) Our office will receive an “acknowledgement” from the Department of Education that your ATS is complete, and we will be able to disburse the TEACH Grant funds.

*E-mail messages will be sent only to your Eastern Oregon University e-mail address. These messages contain important information about your financial aid that can not be sent to an unofficial email address. The Financial Aid Office expects that those communications be read by students in a timely fashion.
