How To Get Your Federal Direct Loans Awarded For 2011-12

Students

  • Freshmen accept your Stafford & PLUS loans on your paper award letter and return the award letter to our office. All freshmen (or first time) borrowers must complete a direct loan entrance interview.
  • Returning students accept your Stafford & PLUS on Webster as you are notified about your award.
  • Complete your master promissory note at https://studentloans.gov.
  • New borrowers (freshmen, transfer students, or students who have not borrowed a Stafford loan previously at EOU) – after you have accepted your loans, complete your entrance interview on line at https://studentloans.gov

Parents

Parents who will borrow in the Federal Direct PLUS Loan program must complete a Federal Direct PLUS Master Promissory Note. Parent borrowers will also need to complete the EOU Parent Loan Acceptance Form. This form is available on our web site under the Forms & Publications tab. Send this form to our office. You can fax the form to 541.962.3661. Go to https://studentloans.gov and complete your PLUS Master Promissory Note on line.
