Shipping and Receiving
All U.S. mail and freight is delivered to Shipping and Receiving in the Facilities and Planning complex where it is sorted and distributed throughout the campus.
Mail for individual faculty members and staff is distributed by the University support staff and support staff for the administrative units.
Campus mail is collected in designated locations in each building and pick-ups and deliveries occur twice daily while classes are in session. A variable delivery schedule is utilized in the summer and during inter-term breaks.
Official University outgoing U.S. mail will be processed through a postage meter in the Shipping and Receiving Department. School and administrative unit budgets will be charged for their postage on a monthly basis. Business Mail, UPS, Postage due and Business Reply fees are paid by the Shipping and Receiving Department and charged to the appropriate departmental index by journal voucher.
Parcel and express services are handled through the Shipping and Receiving Department in the Physical Plant complex. Information as to rates, pickup time, weight and size limitations can be obtained from the Shipping and Receiving Department.
