English/Writing Program
Welcome to the English/Writing Program!
The English/Writing Program boasts a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Writing with three possible concentrations:
- English Studies (available on campus and online),
- Rhetoric and Culture (available on campus now and online beginning Fall 2012), and
- Writing (available on campus).
The program also provides minors in each of the concentration areas and the Interdisciplinary Writing and Rhetoric minor.
An English/Writing degree represents a good foundation for many careers because English/Writing graduates possess excellent communication and critical thinking skills. Students

As a result of these opportunities, English/Writing graduates continue on to
- advanced study in literature, creative writing, and rhetoric;
- master's work in education;
- law school; and
- careers in such areas as journalism, politics, freelance writing, and education and tribal administration.
