Criteria for Becoming an Speech Communications Teacher:

In order to teach Speech Communications at the middle and high school levels, the teacher candidate must have preparation equivalent to a minor in Communications.If the teacher candidate does not have a minor in the subject, then he/she must have taken classes equivalent to an Eastern Oregon University Communications minor.Please note that these are guidelines only and that a transcript review and advising are needed to ensure that you will meet the requirements.
