Criteria for Becoming an Social Studies Teacher:
In order to teach Social Studies at the middle and high school levels, the preparation must be equivalent to a major (at least 50 quarter credits/ 33 semester credits) in social studies related disciplines, with a majority of the coursework in history.Preparation should include courses in a combination of the following areas:
