Requesting DDE Exams

Some courses offered through DDE require students to take one or more exams in a proctored setting; please refer to your syllabus for exam requirements. If your course has such requirements, please follow the instructions on this page.

Proctor Information:

All exam proctors must meet EOU Proctor Requirements. If you select an individual who has not served as a proctor for EOU in the recent past, but who meets the proctor requirements criteria, your proctor must complete and submit a Proctor Verification Form.  Your exam request cannot be processed until we receive this form.
Note: La Grande-area students may schedule proctored exams by contacting the new DDE Testing Office in Loso Hall, Room 236, or at testing@eou.edu or 541-962-3788.

ORDER YOUR HARD COPY EXAMS:

This MUST be done within the first two weeks of the term in order to allow for unavoidable and unpredictable delays in mail delivery.

The best way to order hard copy exams is to use the online form listed below.  Exam requests are processed in the order they are received.  Please ensure that all the information on the form is accurate to avoid delay in processing your request.

All of your exams will be mailed to your proctor.  You must contact your proctor and make an appointment to take an exam.  Once completed, your proctor will mail the exam back to EOU and staff will forward your exam to your instructor for grading.  Remember to allow sufficient mailing time to return your exam to EOU for grading after the actual date you have taken the exam.

NOTE: If you delay ordering your exams beyond the second week, you jeopardize your ability to complete the course within the term.
ORDER YOUR ONLINE EXAM:

Before requesting your proctored online exam(s), please verify that your proctor has Internet connection available.  Some exams require the Respondus Lockdown browser.  If you are using a laptop computer, you can download the browser, or your proctor can download the browser (less than 1mb) to their computer which provides access to EOU's testing Blackboard server via the secured web browser.

After you have verified with your proctor that he/she can proctor online exams, you can request your online exams.  All passwords for Blackboard exams will be released to your proctor in one letter.  You will only have to request your exams once.  Please order your exams within the first two weeks of class. After submitting your exam request you will receive an automated e-mail reply indicating receipt of your exam request.

Once your exam request is processed by EOU staff, you will receive an e-mail confirmation of your exam schedule. This will include the course title, exam name/number, any restrictions applied to the exam and the deadline for taking the exam.

NOTE: You must take this e-mail with you to the exam site.
