Ready, Set, Go! Spring term courses began on Monday, March 31st. Please review the Dates & Deadlines for the term. Our "How to Start A Course" web page provides you with information on how to start your online and onsite courses. If you have questions regarding online courses not showing up in your Blackboard account, please double check the course syllabus for details on how to proceed with your course. Please contact your instructor (contact information is provided on your course syllabus) if you have any questions on getting started.
Spring Term Exams: Some courses offered online and onsite require students to take one or more exams in a proctored setting. Please refer to your course syllabi for exam requirements. If your courses have such requirements, please review the Exam Request process and order your exams early in the term. (Please note - the testing office is located in Loso Hall, Rm. 236 on the EOU campus. The phone number is 541-962-3788 or toll-free at 800-544-2195.)
Spring Symposium: All EOU students are invited to participate in the Spring Symposium scheduled for May 21st. The Spring Symposium provides an opportunity for undergraduate students at EOU to showcase and present their creative activities and accomplished studies to fellow students, faculty and the public. Many topics will be represented through the artistic displays, presentations, poster sessions and performance art presented by the students. All students who wish to present at the Spring Symposium must complete the online application. Deadline for abstracts is April 4th.
Academic and Career Advising Spring Events: Let EOU help jump-start your career by attending the following events on EOU’s La Grande campus:
Please contact the Academic and Career Advising office at 541-962-3588 for further information.
Pierce Library Reminder: Look for the button on the Blackboard Course Menu that will link you directly to EOU Pierce Library. Search for books and articles from the home page, submit a question via the Answerland e-mail web form, and find information about Library services by linking to Services for Off-campus Students. Look for our Wired Distant blog in the News section to read updates from the library. You should also have received an e-mail reminder from the staff at Pierce Library (sent to your EOU email address) that includes your Library barcode number. This number is needed to request books from EOU and Summit libraries, and to access databases for journal articles. Take time to explore the library web site, and contact them with any questions you may have!
Anthropology Major – Available Online: Students seeking a degree in Anthropology/Sociology (Anthropology Concentration) at Eastern Oregon University will be able to take all of the required courses entirely online beginning fall term 2008.
