Molecular Shape

Molecular shape is the three dimensional arrangement of atoms in space around a central atom. The molecular shape may be described by a variety of terms as follows:

Linear

Bent (angular)

Trigonal planar (planar triangular)

Tetrahedral

Pyramidal
