Database Web site will be based on published works,
archival sources and non-written materials. The primary
foundation for 1997-99 will be the K.G.Saur Chinese
Biographical Archive, which is a series of microfiche on
Chinese biography. Including many sources from the past
century, the archive includes almost 100,000 Chinese
biographies. Most biographies have between 2-10 sources
in this archive. Other commonly used Encyclopedias and
Dictionaries, such as Boorman, and Clark/Klein are also
being utlized and are listed in the Sources entry forms
as "Commonly Used Sources." |
