The statistics show that four out of five college students change their major at least once.  Even if you've declared a major, it might be worth exploring your options further.  The college academic circle includes areas of study that may be unfamiliar to you.  This is a time to explore and try out new ideas! 

Engaging in career exploration activities through Career Advising can assist students in the process of choosing an academic major.  Additionally you will want to seek assistance from your academic advisers, faculty in areas of interests and upper division students who have settled upon a course of action.  All of these people can be a great resource for those who are exploring options.

What Can I Do With a Major In . . . ?
We've searched the corners of cyberspace to find sites offering information and suggestions on what people do with their majors.  Some career connections are easy to make with say, nursing or accounting.  Other academic areas like biology, economics or philosophy prepare one for a wide array of career possibilities and the connections may not be so obvious.  If you are targeting a major area--check out how others have employed their academic major.
