
The 2008 season will mark the third for Head Volleyball Coach Kaki McLean. The program as seen rapid improvement in the first two seasons under McLean. In 2007 the Mounties, led by McLean, finished 16-10 overall, 13-7 in the CCC.
The 16 wins was a 6 game improvement over the 2006 win total.
McLean was named First Team All-Conference three times in the Cascade Collegiate Conference and honorable mention to the All-NAIA Region I squad during her three years playing at Eastern Oregon. In that time, McLean played in 236 games, gathering 812 kills and a .210 hitting percentage. She also had 802 digs, 61 service aces and 79 total blocks.
McLean was also a member of the 2004-05 Mountaineer women’s rodeo team that won the Northwest regional title and competed at the National Collegiate Rodeo Finals. She finished 12th in the nation in barrel racing.
The Paulina, Oregon native graduated from Crook County High School in 2001 where she was First Team All-State in volleyball as a senior.
Kaki leads the Mountaineer volleyball program after spending the 2005 season as the teams assistant coach.
