Welch Headlines Cascade Conference Honorees

EAGLE, Idaho. - Head Cross Country Coach Ben Welch was named Cascade Conference Coach of the Year for both the Men and the Women after the Mounties swept the Conference Championship Meet on Saturday.
For Welch, the awards are just the latest on a long list of career accolades during his 16 year tenure as Head Coach at Eastern Oregon.
Joining Welch as CCC honorees were Marcella Bosch, Stephanie Windle, Sara Bates and Christy Pletan on the Women's side. On the Men's side Zach Heath, Doug Benson, Troy Blackburn, Morgan Saletnberger and Josh Ego were tabbed All Conference.
Eastern will look to continue their strong performances at the Regional Championship Meet in Olympia, Washington on November 3rd.
