LA GRANDE, Ore. - Eastern Oregon gave up three first half goals in the first half of Friday's scrimmage against Walla Walla Community College. Despite a late comeback the Mountaineers were unable to overcome the early deficit and lost 4-2.
Kristen Rice and Allie Kirby scored the two Mountaineer goals in the second half but it was too little to late.
"We had a lot of first game jitters and poor communication in the first half," Head Coach Colleen Fagan commented after the game. "We were able to put a lot of pressure on Walla Walla [Community College] in the second half with improved passing and communication."
The Mountaineers look to improve team chemistry before league play when they host Treasure Valley Community College today at 1:00pm at the Eastern Oregon soccer field.
