Mounties End Season on a High Note

CALDWELL, Idaho - Playing in a driving rainstorm, neither The College of Idaho (8-6-3, 5-3-2 CCC) or Eastern Oregon (5-9, 4-6 CCC) could muster a goal in regulation. With just 1:20 left in overtime Lauren Souza and Courtney Gaskell connected to end the match 1-0.
Souza's goal put a damper on C of I's senior day festivities and ended a trying season for The Mounties on a high note.
While the Yotes out shot EOU 20-8, Eastern managed to keep the ball out of the net the entire afternoon until their opportunity arrived in the form of a terrific pass from Gaskell to Souza.
The Mountaineers did not earn a spot in the six team Conference Tournament so their season has come to an end. For seniors Lindsay Freeland, Andi Jakubouski, Kristina Kennedy and Cassie Smith it was the last match of their college careers.
