Souza Scores Lone Goal in Mountie Defeat

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Eastern Oregon University Soccer team fell to Cascade College 2-1 after The Thunderbirds put on a late rally to score the games final to goals.
Freshman forward Lauren Souza scored the games first goal. That score was good enough to keep the Mounties ahead until the 68 minute of the game when Cascade's Alisha Butler got one into the net to tie. In the 81st minute the T-Birds struck again to take the lead.
Eastern did not fold as Sophomore standout Tennly Paul-Bowden had to shots that were kept out by Cascade's Keeper.
With the loss EOU falls to 4-8, 3-5 in the Cascade Conference with just two matches to go. The first of the two will be played at Concordia tomorrow afternoon.
