The Clan Top the Mountaineers 1-0

The 19th ranked Simon Fraser Clan knocked off Eastern scoring the lone goal of the match in the 16th minute.

The goal was set up by SFU's Rachael Pelat who passed a a ball up the wing, which was deflected to Hailey Rawlings. The Clan's Rawlings then struck the ball to the low far post past EOU's Kristina Kennedy.

Eastern stayed very close to the nationally-ranked team for the whole match. Kennedy stopped three of Simon Fraser's four shots. EOU took a total of four shots on goal in the game.

SFU improves to 7-2 and the Mountaineers drop to 3-7. Eastern returns to action Saturday at 3 PM against Northwest Christian. Simon Fraser and Albertson will face-off prior to the EOU game at 1 PM at Eastern Oregon University.
