Mounties Earn Split on Day Two of Willamette Tourney

Salem, Ore - On day two of the Williamette Invite the Eastern Oregon Mountaineers earned themselves a split losing to Linfield before knocking off Willamette this afternoon.

 

Against Linfield the Mounties fought hard but could not come up with some critical plays as the lost to the Lynx 30-17, 27-30, 30-22, 26-30, 15-13.

 

In that match Grace Deboodt had 13 kills followed by Ashleigh Dailey's 12.  Cathy Savage had 8 blocks while Alissa Clinton led the Mountaineers with 30 assists.

 

In the second match Eastern got their first win of this young season beating the Bearcats 23-30, 32-34, 30-21, 30-19, 15-10. 

 

Deboodt once again led EOU with 21 kills while Clinton dished out 45 assists.

 

Eastern will start conference play next weekend at home against OIT and Southern.
